FEATURED ARTIST
Dom & Roland (Dom & Roland Productions, Moving Shadow)
Dom Angas aka Dom & Roland can without hesitation be described as a pioneer of dark drum’n’bass.
He has been involved in the production of some of the classics of the late 90’s including Thunder, Sonar, and Subway among many others, and to this day has continuously pushed himself to create ever evolving tunes without ever compromising their quality or selling out. After 10 years, three albums and loads of singles at Moving Shadow, Dom has since focused on releasing his music through his own label Dom & Roland Productions, which he started in 2004 ,while continuing to provide his much sought after remixes to the bigger labels and artists within the scene...
Dom has big plans for 2007, and having been locked away in the studio for months, has now got a bag full of material for his forthcoming album (Due Summer 2007) as well as collaboration singles with the likes of Calyx, Klute, Fierce, and Culture Shock, ready to put out. He was also recently given permission by Moving Shadow to release remixes of some of his earlier classics on his own DRP imprint.
Watch out for:
“U Do Voodoo / Can’t Punish Me No More” by Dom due out in February 2007
“Maximus / Sanity” by Dom & Klute / Dom & Calyx due out in April 2007
As a dj, Dom has the same philosophy as on his production. A ‘No cheesey riff’ journey through quality exclusive dancefloor dnb cuts from artists like Hive, Gridlok, Calyx, Break, Silent Witness, to name but a fewincluding a lot of his own exclusive unreleased dj material..... Wherever Dom plays his sets are extremely well received, no wonder, as after touring the globe for 10 years straight, the man certainly knows how to rock the crowd.
